![]() ![]() The park is not that big, but we walked like 20,000 steps throughout a nine hour day. Use that to let you know which rides have very long wait only. The wait would frequently say 5-10 min and ended up being 30mjn. The latter is not accurate in our experience. There is a map, online ordering, rides and wait times. The six flags app is helpful in some ways. There is a section for kids and another for family that can both serve for younger kids. My teens thought that they were better than the ones at Disneyland. There is a section of high thrill rides right up from, probably about 10, which are great for teens. Rides are separated by age group for the most part. The all season soft drink bottles are popular if you plan on going more than once and need soft drinks. Water bottles are allowed and there are water stations by all restrooms. You can take a couple small snacks in your pockets or purse. There is no outside food or drink allowed, but I think that basically means you can’t carry in McDonald’s or a cooler. I went with the platinum one which is another $20 per person but worth it if you plan on going to Hurricane Harbor during the year. It almost always will make sense to buy even the lowest level season pass at$60/person given the high cost of parking. ![]() You’re looking at $45 per person on weekend days, $35 for weekdays when open. You should just buy tickets online even if same day to save yourself money. No real need to pay the extra $10 for preferred unless you get there midday. Parking is about a 15-20 minute walk from the actual entrance. For adults, it really depends on how you tolerate rides as you get older. I went with my wife and two boys who are teens, but I believe with the animals in the park and some of the younger kid rides, it is excellent for any family. I will start with this is a great and fun trip for the family. I will put here answers to all types of questions on my list before I went. We usually get passes almost every year and I don’t think it’s worth it anymore. I know I mentioned price a lot but my reason for saying so is I bring my kids for the experience and if I’m paying the money it should be worth spending because this place should be fun and nice to look at but it lacks both. Most employees are rude or have an attitude except the ones at the little kid rides they were really nice to my kids. The drinks are getting smaller each year where you can refill it and it does this weird thing when you try to drink out of it where you can’t get a decent drink out of the cup and no straws. We use to buy a pizza or two for all our kids because my whole family goes too but they told us they don’t do that anymore. It looks like a ghost town in the food court. Just to feed my 4 kids and myself it was almost 200+ but waiting in the lines for it isn’t really worth it even when you buy the food pass. We went to look at the only dolphin in the tank and the glass was covered in nasty green stuff so you couldn't really see through. It looks dirty and not kept up at six flags. You pay $40 for parking but we had the gold pass thankfully. In July of 2020, the park reopened with an animals-only “Marine World Experience” as its 40-plus rides remained silent. It’s so sad six flags doesn’t look the same. We are excited to welcome more guests to the park and to bring back more of our dedicated team members.” “Six Flags creates wonderful memories through the incredible experiences we provide guests of all ages. “We are very excited to be able to offer our full selection of rides and attractions for the first time in over a year,” added Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Park President Janine Durette. We will follow those same stringent guidelines as we reopen our rides and attractions in our California parks.” “Last year, we set the standard for operating our parks safely and entertained nearly seven million guests in adherence to government and CDC health guidelines. ![]() “Californians are ready to visit their favorite Six Flags theme park and have some fun,” said Senior Vice President of Park Operations Bonnie Weber in a statement. The theme park that proudly claims to be the “Thrill Capital of Northern California” will hold a special preview for members and season pass holders on April 1 and 2, and then will welcome the general public April 3. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on Thursday announced that it will go back to operating its full complement of rides in early April - with COVID-19 safety measures in place. The sound of rumbling roller coasters and bumping bumper buggies soon will be heard in Vallejo again. ![]()
